Another prestigious contract awarded to us by George Koch & Sons.

Another project to be completed under meticulous conditions – this time the Thermal Insulation and bespoke Sheet Metal Cladding of New E Coat Oven Ductwork consisting of  6 Burner Boxes, Supply & Recirc Ductwork, Exit Air Seal Ductwork, Entry Air Seal Ductwork, External Exhaust Ductwork.

Once again there were complex and technical shapes especially on and around the 6 burner units.

• The cylindrical re-circulation ductwork was insulated with a double layer of mineral wool pipe section mattress, held in position with stainless steel bands.  The outer layer was completed with factory applied aluminium foil vapour barrier.  All longitudinal and circumferential joints were sealed with aluminium foil tape to minimise airborne fibres within the paintshop environment.
• Rectangular ductwork was insulated with a double layer of mineral wool slab. The outer layer, again, was completed with factory applied aluminium foil vapour barrier. The insulation material was held in posiyion by capcitor discharge stud weld pins which were supplied and installed by ourselves. All longitudinal and circumferential joints were sealed with aluminium foil tape to minimise airborne fibres within the paintshop environment.
• All insulated ductwork and plant was finished with bespoke galvanised sheet metal cladding fixed in position with steel pop rivets.
• All bespoke sheet metal fabrications were produced in Driscolls own workshop.

This contract was only recently completed at the end of April 2016.
